Cultivating Healthier Landscapes
At Ghostflower Grange, we know that gardens should be far more than beautiful spaces—they can be living, thriving habitats that support pollinators, wildlife, soil health, and the communities around them. As the Grange grows, we are working toward once again offering a broader range of ecological garden and land stewardship services rooted in this philosophy.
Our work will center on native plant garden consulting and habitat restoration, helping clients create landscapes that are both beautiful and ecologically meaningful. For established gardens, seasonal consultations will offer plant identification, troubleshooting, and practical recommendations for improving the health and diversity of existing landscapes. We also plan to offer garden installation, maintenance, and coaching, from small-scale planting projects to seasonal care and hands-on guidance for gardeners who want to become more confident stewards of their own landscapes. A central part of our future work will be local seed collection and plant propagation. By collecting seed and growing plant starts with specific places and projects in mind, we hope to make regionally appropriate native plants more accessible while supporting the ecological character of our local flora. We’ll also assist with sourcing and procuring hard-to-find native species for particular garden and restoration projects.
Education will remain an important part of the Grange’s work. Through workshops and educational visits, we’ll share practical knowledge about seed saving, native plant propagation, habitat gardening, biodiversity, and ecological stewardship. We also hope to offer presentations and speaking programs for schools, garden clubs, community groups, and others interested in learning more about native plants and regenerative growing practices.
Our aim is to help people create landscapes that are not only cared for, but deeply connected to place. Whether restoring habitat, growing native plants from locally collected seed, or simply learning to see a familiar garden in a new way, Ghostflower Grange hopes to cultivate the knowledge, relationships, and practices that allow both people and ecosystems to flourish.
