Tidytips (Layia platyglossa) is native to California and can be found primarily in the coastal regions and foothills. It thrives in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, coastal scrub, chaparral, and open woodlands.

 

Tidytips is valued for its charming, daisy-like flowers with white petals and distinctive yellow tips that give the landscape an incomparably cheerful appearance. Tidytips typically blooms in the spring, from late March to May, when its flowers blanket the landscape with their bright colors. The flowers of Tidytips are a nectar source for a wide array of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.

 

Plants can tolerate a wide range of soil types and settings. For germination, seeds can be directly sown on the soil surface in the fall or spring and lightly covered with sand. They benefit from full sunlight during germination.
